Apogee Insight is shaking up the professional display world with its recent acquisition of PMA Research. PMA has long been a go-to source for market intelligence regarding professional video projectors and flat-panel displays. This move allows Apogee Insight to broaden its reach across the ProAV and display markets while promising to maintain the high-quality data services PMA clients expect.

Leadership of the combined entity will fall to Apogee Insight founders Lee Dodson and Sean Wargo. Both executives are industry veterans with deep roots in the sector; Dodson previously served as a senior executive at Sony, while Wargo held a leadership role at the trade association AVIXA. The transition comes as former PMA leader Nick Rogers officially enters retirement after years of heading the research firm.

For those worried about service interruptions, the company has confirmed that the existing PMA team will remain in place. According to a report by TV Tech, the acquisition is designed to ensure the continuity of current research while eventually expanding coverage into fresh technology areas. By combining these resources, Apogee Insight aims to provide a more comprehensive look at the global display landscape.
