The global production landscape just got a massive shake-up. Banijay Group and RedBird IMI have officially agreed to merge Banijay Entertainment and All3Media in a blockbuster deal valued at approximately $8 billion. This 50/50 joint venture creates a media powerhouse that will simply be known as Banijay, combining two of the biggest names in international television.
By joining forces, the new entity becomes the largest English-speaking studio operating outside the United States. Fans of reality and drama will see their favorite hits under one roof, as the merger unites iconic franchises like The Traitors, Peaky Blinders, Big Brother, and MasterChef. The combined catalogue now boasts a staggering 260,000 hours of content, giving the company massive leverage in a competitive streaming market.
Marco Bassetti, the current CEO of Banijay, will lead the newly formed group. Jeff Zucker, CEO of RedBird IMI, stated the deal positions the company to lead the next era of global storytelling. The transaction is expected to receive regulatory approval and officially close by autumn 2026, marking a new chapter for the creators behind Squid Game: The Challenge and Midsomer Murders.
