The **Columbus Symphony** is marking its 75th anniversary with a massive milestone: a return to **Carnegie Hall**. Music Director **Rossen Milanov** confirmed the orchestra will perform at the iconic New York City venue on October 28, 2026. This historic event marks the ensemble's first appearance at Carnegie Hall since 2001.
The centerpiece of the anniversary program is the world premiere of The Mysteries, a new work by composer **Gregory Spears**. The performance will feature celebrated bass-baritone **Davóne Tines** as the guest soloist. Before heading to New York, the symphony will debut the program for local fans at the **Ohio Theatre** on October 23 and 24, 2026.
In addition to the Spears premiere, the orchestra will perform **Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5**. This ambitious 2026–27 season serves as a celebration of the symphony’s legacy and its future. The **Columbus Symphony** official announcement noted that this anniversary tour highlights the extraordinary growth of the orchestra over the last seven decades.
