The legacy of legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads may soon be set in stone. The Randy Rhoads Memorial Project, founded by musician Bill Lonero, is actively petitioning to erect a life-sized bronze statue of the late icon in Stough Canyon Park. Located in Rhoads’ hometown of Burbank, California, the park sits just a short distance from where the musician lived and taught guitar before his tragic passing in 1982.

The ambitious project has the official blessing of the Rhoads family. Kathy Rhoads D'Argenzio, Randy’s sister, has voiced her full support for the memorial. Lonero told Loudwire that the goal is to create a permanent space where fans can pay their respects and celebrate the man who changed the face of rock guitar. The project organizers are currently coordinating with the Burbank Parks and Recreation Department regarding the proposed site.

Building a permanent monument comes with a significant price tag, with estimated costs ranging from $200,000 to $250,000. Organizers plan to fund the endeavor through a mix of global crowdfunding and corporate sponsorships. Public momentum is already building, as the official petition for the statue has gathered more than 3,500 signatures from fans eager to honor the former Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot guitarist.
