New York’s legendary hip-hop authority is officially moving from the radio dial to the television screen. HOT 97 TV is set to launch as an over-the-air broadcast channel in the New York market beginning March 31. The new channel will broadcast on WASA-TV, bringing the station's culture-defining content to a massive local audience.

Viewers can find the new programming on Spectrum channels 811 and 1236. The lineup features some of the biggest names in the industry, including Mornings with Mero, hosted by the Bronx’s own The Kid Mero. Fans can also tune in for daily segments like Nessa On Air, HOT 97 News, and the legendary Funk Flex Freestyles, which have long been a staple of the station’s digital presence.

This expansion marks a major evolution for HOT 97, transitioning from a terrestrial radio powerhouse into a multi-platform media entity. By securing space on both broadcast and cable, the brand is ensuring its reach extends across television, streaming, and traditional digital formats. The move follows a series of strategic content updates designed to capture the modern hip-hop fan's attention across every possible device.
