The culinary chaos at the Original Beef of Chicagoland is officially reaching a boiling point. Recurring guest star Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays matriarch Donna Berzatto, has confirmed that the hit FX series The Bear will conclude with its upcoming fifth season. During interviews with Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight and in a recent Instagram post, Curtis referred to the current production as the "final" chapter for the Emmy-winning dramedy.
While FX and creator Christopher Storer have yet to issue a formal press release regarding the show's end, sources told Deadline and TheWrap that the decision to wrap after five seasons has been in the works. The series, which stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, reportedly filmed seasons three and four in close succession to accommodate the increasingly busy schedules of its breakout cast.

Production for the fifth and final season is currently underway, with a premiere date expected later in 2026. Since its debut in 2022, The Bear has become a massive critical success, securing multiple Emmy Awards and Golden Globes. Fans can expect the final episodes to provide a definitive conclusion to Carmy Berzatto's intense professional and personal journey.
