Jean Davidson is trading the nation's capital for the palm trees of Beverly Hills. Davidson has officially resigned from her post as the Executive Director of the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center. She will soon step into her new role as the Executive Director and CEO of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles.
The move comes as Davidson prepares for a return to the West Coast. She spoke positively about her tenure at the NSO and shared her excitement to return to Los Angeles. Davidson noted that she looks forward to her upcoming leadership role at The Wallis following her time at the Kennedy Center.
Davidson is a familiar face in the California arts scene, having previously served as the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. At The Wallis, she will oversee a 2.5-acre campus that serves as a cultural hub for Beverly Hills. Her appointment is seen as a major win for the West Coast venue as it seeks to expand its programming and reach.
