BTS superstar Jimin has been officially crowned Billboard’s ‘Hot 100 Favorite Idol’ following a massive global fan vote. The singer secured the top spot after millions of entries were cast between February and early March. The victory comes as Lollapalooza Chicago announced its 2026 roster for Grant Park this July. The four-day festival, running from July 30 to August 2, will be headlined by Charli XCX, Jennie of BLACKPINK, and Lorde, alongside Tate McRae and The Smashing Pumpkins.
Lil Wayne is keeping the momentum high by adding more than 25 new North American dates to his 'Tha Carter' 20th Anniversary Tour. The expansion, promoted by Live Nation, will feature 2 Chainz as a special guest on most dates and The Game for select California shows. The new leg is scheduled to kick off on June 30 in Bangor, Maine, and will conclude on October 23 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Tickets for the added dates go on sale via Ticketmaster starting March 20.
The week also saw a sharp exchange between Kid Rock and Conan O’Brien. During his monologue at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, O’Brien joked that guests uncomfortable with politics could attend an "alternate Oscars" hosted by Kid Rock at a Dave & Buster’s. Kid Rock fired back on X the following day, calling the jab "not a very good one" while promoting his upcoming 'Freedom 250 Tour'. The rocker’s nationwide tour is set to begin on May 1 in Dallas.
In a darker turn, Bay Area rapper LaRussell sparked widespread outrage after previewing his new track, "Heaven Sent." In the song, the Vallejo artist refers to Adolf Hitler and Jeffrey Epstein as "heaven-sent," arguing that every human—good or evil—was created by God. Despite the artist’s defense that the lyrics were a theological statement rather than praise, the Roc Nation-signed rapper faced immediate condemnation. The controversy has already led to LaRussell deactivating his social media accounts amid a flurry of industry criticism.
