Country music icon Jo Dee Messina is officially making her return to center stage with the announcement of her first new album in more than ten years. The project, titled "Bridges," is scheduled to hit shelves and streaming platforms in Summer 2026. This upcoming release marks her most significant musical statement since her 2014 album, Me.
To kick off the new era, Messina has released the recordâs lead single, "Some Bridges." As reported by MusicRow.com and iHeart, the song sets the tone for a collection that explores the highs and lows of the last decade. The album is described as a vulnerable reflection of her personal journey, specifically focusing on the lessons she has learned through both hardship and success.
Messina shared with Country Evolution that the new music encapsulates "love, pain, fight, learning, and living." With "Bridges," the "Lesson in Leavin'" singer aims to connect her past experiences with her current life, offering fans a raw look at her evolution as an artist and a person. The full album will be available via all major music retailers next summer.
