Big changes are coming to one of Hollywood’s most recognizable PR boutiques. Lee Ginsberg has announced he will depart Ginsberg/Libby in mid-April to launch a new venture as an independent awards consultant. Ginsberg co-founded the firm in 2009 with Chris Libby, and the duo has spent the last 15 years building a reputation for high-stakes awards campaigns and corporate communications.

Ginsberg’s departure marks the end of an era for the agency, which has represented major players like A24, Neon, and Searchlight Pictures. The firm is well-known for its work on Oscar-winning films, including Parasite and Everything Everywhere All at Once. In his new role, Ginsberg will focus his expertise on specialized strategies for individual talent and awards-season hopefuls.

Despite the exit, the agency’s future remains steady. Chris Libby will continue to lead the firm as its principal, and the company will officially retain its original Ginsberg/Libby name. The two founders originally launched the business after working together at PMK/HBH, and they have confirmed the transition will be a collaborative one as Ginsberg moves into his next chapter.
