Luke Combs has secured another major milestone as his single "Sleepless In A Hotel Room" officially reached the No. 1 position on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart. The achievement follows the March 20, 2026, release of his sixth studio album, The Way I Am, which has dominated the music industry since its debut. According to Billboard, the album opened at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200, moving 100,700 equivalent units in its first week.

The chart-topping track was a long time coming for fans, as Combs first teased an acoustic version of the song on social media in 2020. Co-written by Combs alongside Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton, the lyrics were inspired by the singer missing his wife, Nicole Hocking, while traveling for his career. In a statement shared by MusicRow.com, Combs noted, "I’ve loved the song ‘Sleepless in a Hotel Room’ for a long time and it’s been awesome to see how excited the fans are for that one as well."

Produced by Combs, Jonathan Singleton, and Chip Matthews, the 22-track project arrived via Sony Music Nashville and Columbia Nashville. Beyond digital success, Combs is seeing massive physical turnouts for his "My Kinda Saturday Night Tour." The trek launched with a sold-out show at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, which broke the venue’s all-time attendance record with 70,921 fans in the seats.
