Luxury giant LVMH has announced the launch of the fourth edition of its coveted Masters of Excellence Award, an initiative dedicated to celebrating and preserving exquisite Made-in-Italy craftsmanship. This year marks a significant collaboration as Fondazione Bulgari joins as a new partner, underscoring a shared commitment to nurturing artisanal savoir-faire for future generations.
The award, organized by Métiers d'Excellence LVMH in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, seeks to highlight exceptional talents across Italy. Artisans are invited to submit their work in three distinct categories: Master Artisan of Excellence, Emerging Master Artisan of Excellence, and Master of Excellence in Innovation.
Winners will receive a €10,000 prize to reinvest in their businesses, along with valuable media exposure. Crucially, they will also benefit from a year of mentorship with professionals from the Bulgari Group and gain exclusive access to the maison's manufacturing facilities, offering unparalleled insight into their production processes and artisanal techniques. Jean-Christophe Babin, President of Fondazione Bulgari, emphasized the award as a “project of great value that celebrates and promotes the culture of 'savoir-faire,' in full harmony with one of the pillars of our Foundation: to preserve and pass on to new generations the priceless heritage of craftsmanship, recognised as an authentic art form.”
The application period is open from February 24 to May 31, 2026, with the winners set to be unveiled at an awards ceremony on September 14 at the Bulgari Hotel in Rome. This initiative reflects LVMH's broader Métiers d'Excellence program, which champions over 280 specialized crafts and aims to transmit these invaluable skills to new talent.
