Mary J. Blige has officially released her latest single, "Want Love," today, April 3, 2026. The track marks the nine-time Grammy winner's second major release of the year, following her Valentine's Day soulful anthem "More Than A Lover." Fans have been eagerly awaiting the new music since Blige began teasing the track on social media last week with the lyrics, "I want somebody who makes me feel like everything / I want love."

The release comes at a busy time for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee as she gears up for her first-ever Las Vegas residency. Titled "My Life, My Story," the 10-show run is scheduled to debut on May 1, 2026, at Dolby Live at Park MGM. According to reports from 105.9 Kiss-FM, the residency is expected to be a theatrical journey through her three-decade career, blending her classic hits with new material from her 2024 album, Gratitude.

While some reports from Essence Magazine briefly identified the release as a new version of her 1992 classic "Real Love," official streaming platforms and Hip Hop Vibe have confirmed "Want Love" as the primary new title. Blige told fans via a social media post shared by That Grape Juice that she "can't wait to share this one" and encouraged listeners to pre-save the track for exclusive audio messages. The new single is now available on all major streaming services including Apple Music and Spotify.
