Metallica is turning up the volume in Las Vegas. The heavy metal icons officially expanded their upcoming residency at the Sphere, titled "Life Burns Faster," following what Consequence.net described as overwhelming fan demand. Originally set for just eight dates in October 2026, the band has now tripled the run to a total of 24 performances extending through March 2027.

The residency will utilize the band’s popular "No Repeat Weekend" format. This structure ensures that fans attending both the Thursday and Saturday shows in a single weekend will see two completely different setlists. In a statement shared by BLABBERMOUTH.NET, the band noted that they do not plan to add any more dates "at this point," making these 24 shows the final count for the historic run.

The Sphere, known for its immersive 160,000-square-foot LED display, will host James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo for their first-ever residency at the venue. This expansion places Metallica alongside other major artists who have utilized the venue's cutting-edge technology for long-term engagements in the Nevada desert.
