Good news for fans of Sherwood Forest's most famous outlaw! MGM+ has officially renewed its popular adventure drama series, 'Robin Hood,' for a second season. The announcement came on February 24, 2026, much to the delight of viewers who've been captivated by the reimagined tale.
The series, which premiered on November 2, 2025, quickly became one of MGM+'s top-performing original shows, garnering strong reviews and consistent viewership. Jack Patten leads the cast as Robert "Rob" Locksley (aka Robin Hood), alongside Lauren McQueen as the courageous Marian, and veteran actor Sean Bean as the formidable Sheriff of Nottingham. Showrunner John Glenn, producer-director Jonathan English, and executive producer Todd Lieberman are all slated to return for the upcoming season.
Production for the 10-episode second season is scheduled to kick off this summer in Serbia at PFI Studios. MGM+ has teased an expanded scope for the new season, promising to take the story beyond Sherwood and Nottingham. According to the network, Season 2 will venture into "the treacherous courts of England, France, and Rome," transforming the outlaw rebellion into a "high-stakes battle for the soul of a kingdom." Rob and Marian will find themselves navigating royal politics, gold, and betrayal as they strive to secure a future for the Saxons.
