Fans in Japan can officially secure their seats for the King of Pop’s highly anticipated biopic. On Friday, April 3, 2026, Kino Films launched advance ticket sales for Michael, the upcoming biopic chronicling the life and career of Michael Jackson. Moviegoers across the country are now able to purchase both physical collectible cards and digital online versions of the tickets.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Graham King, the film stars Jaafar Jackson in the title role of his real-life uncle. The production is a collaborative project between Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International. While the film is scheduled for its primary international rollout throughout April 2026, Japanese audiences will see the film's official theatrical release in June 2026.

The film features a screenplay by John Logan and aims to provide an in-depth look at Jackson’s rise to global superstardom.
