Netflix has officially locked in the return of its record-breaking drama Virgin River. Season 7 is scheduled to premiere on March 12, 2026, with the streaming giant confirming that all 10 episodes will be available to binge immediately. Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith noted that the new season picks up directly where the Season 6 finale left off, ensuring fans won't miss a beat of the town's signature emotional stakes.

The upcoming season sees fan-favorite couple Mel Monroe, played by Alexandra Breckenridge, and Jack Sheridan, played by Martin Henderson, jetting off to Mexico for a long-awaited honeymoon. Filming for these romantic scenes took place at the Hacienda Cenote Oxmán in the Yucatán, marking the show's first major production shift outside of its usual Canadian locations. Upon their return to town, the newlyweds will adjust to married life and navigate a potential new path to parenthood through adoption.

New faces are also set to shake up the close-knit community. Sara Canning joins the cast as Victoria, a medical investigator and former police officer who arrives to probe the practice of Doc Mullins, portrayed by Tim Matheson. Additionally, Cody Kearsley enters the fray as Clay, a tough rodeo worker searching for his long-lost sister. These newcomers, along with the continued presence of Mel's biological father, Everett Reid, played by John Allen Nelson, promise a season filled with fresh secrets.
