The 2026 Annapolis Film Festival officially begins today, March 26, bringing a star-studded lineup to Maryland’s capital. This year’s four-day event is headlined by the opening night screening of Power Ballad, a musical comedy starring Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas. Directed by John Carney, the film follows the unlikely bond between a wedding singer and a rock star, setting an upbeat tone for the festival’s 14th year.

Running through March 29, the festival features a curated selection of more than 70 films spanning various categories, including narrative features, documentaries, and shorts. Screenings and events are hosted at several landmark venues throughout the city, including Maryland Hall and The Graduate Hotel.
