Searchlight Pictures is officially moving forward with Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which is set to make its world premiere at SXSW on March 13, 2026. Fans of the 2019 cult hit will only have to wait one week for the general theatrical release, which is scheduled for March 20, 2026.

Star Samara Weaving reprises her role as Grace, the bride who narrowly escaped a lethal game of hide-and-seek with her in-laws. This time, Grace must navigate a new, high-stakes game against multiple powerful families. The sequel brings back the original creative team, including directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett—collectively known as Radio Silence—along with screenwriters Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.

The ensemble cast is growing significantly for the second installment. Joining the franchise are horror veterans Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood, alongside Kathryn Newton. With the original directors and writers back in place, the production aims to expand the dark, comedic world of the first film while pitting Weaving against a fresh set of wealthy antagonists.
