Martin Scorsese is bringing a new perspective to biblical history this Easter season. His acclaimed docudrama series, Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints, returns to FOX Nation on Friday, March 27, 2026. This special extended episode, titled "Mary," focuses exclusively on the life and legacy of Saint Mary the Virgin.
The production, led by Lionsgate Alternative Television and Scorsese’s own Sikelia Productions, emphasizes historical realism. Series creator Matti Leshem of New Mandate Films, who is Jewish, prioritized cultural accuracy by utilizing an Israeli cast. Leshem highlighted the importance of this casting choice, specifically noting that having a Jewish actor portray Jesus adds a layer of authenticity to the narrative.

As with previous installments of the eight-part series, Martin Scorsese serves as the host, narrator, and executive producer. The episode combines cinematic dramatizations with Scorsese’s personal reflections on faith. Viewers can stream the special premiere exclusively on the FOX Nation platform starting March 27.
