Sony Pictures Classics is officially heading to Las Vegas. The specialty distributor was announced as a last-minute addition to a new showcase presentation at CinemaCon on April 13. Sony Pictures Classics will join Angel Studios and StudioCanal to highlight its upcoming theatrical slate for theater owners and industry professionals.

The addition comes as the independent distributor Row K withdrew from the event. According to reports from TheWrap, Row K pulled out due to ongoing financial difficulties and the departure of several key executives. The company reportedly suffered a significant financial loss on its first-ever film release, leading to its sudden exit from the Las Vegas schedule.

Sony Pictures Classics is expected to use the spotlight to promote its latest acquisitions from the Sundance Film Festival. By filling the vacant slot, the studio aims to build momentum for its 2026 calendar. The presentation will take place at Caesars Palace, serving as a key moment for specialty cinema during the industry's largest annual gathering.
