David Vanacore is heading to center stage. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) announced that the legendary composer will receive the ASCAP Golden Note Award. Vanacore will accept the honor on April 28 during an invitation-only celebration of the ASCAP Screen Music Awards in Los Angeles.

This prestigious award recognizes songwriters, composers, and artists who have achieved "extraordinary career milestones." Vanacore certainly fits the bill, as he is currently celebrating his 50th season scoring the hit CBS reality series Survivor. His iconic musical themes have also defined fan-favorite shows like Hell’s Kitchen, Big Brother, and The Apprentice.

By receiving this honor, Vanacore joins an elite group of past recipients. Previous Golden Note winners include industry icons like Quincy Jones, Pharrell Williams, and Alicia Keys. ASCAP’s recognition highlights Vanacore’s massive impact on the sound of modern television over several decades of work.
