3388 Films just made its biggest move to date by securing the global distribution rights for the high-energy action-comedy Thai Fighters. The California-based distributor, known for championing Southeast Asian cinema, now holds the rights for North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Japan. Produced by Film Frame Productions, the movie recently made its theatrical debut in Thailand on March 12, 2026.

Directed by Chaiwat Sitalasai and Tawatchai Ladloy, the film is set in the heart of central Thailand. The story centers on two rival riverside villages, Ban Nor and Ban Tai, that have spent years in a bitter feud over pride and local sports. However, they are forced to form an uneasy alliance when a ruthless crime boss threatens their homes and kidnaps the daughter of a village headman.

The production features a heavy-hitting cast that will appeal to martial arts enthusiasts worldwide. Veteran actor Dan Chupong, a protégé of the legendary Panna Rittikrai, stars alongside Simon Kook, who previously gained fame for his role in Ip Man 3. The film also features Namfah Thunyaphat and Chartchai Chinasri, blending traditional Thai culture with modern stunt choreography.

Thien A. Pham, founder of 3388 Films, told Screen Daily that the company aims to create more theatrical opportunities for authentic Thai stories. This massive acquisition follows the company's previous success with the Vietnamese hit Mai, which set box office records in the West. With this latest deal, 3388 Films continues to solidify its role as a key player in bringing Asian cinema to the global stage.
