The K-pop world is processing a major shift today as Belift Lab officially announced the departure of Heeseung from the global boy group ENHYPEN. On March 10, 2026, the agency released a statement confirming that the 24-year-old artist is stepping away from the group to focus on his own creative path. The decision marks the end of his five-year journey with the ensemble since their debut through the survival show I-LAND.
According to the official announcement, the move comes after "extensive discussions" between the artist and management. Belift Lab stated they have chosen to respect Heeseung's "distinct musical vision," which he plans to explore as a solo performer. Fans will not have to say goodbye to him entirely, however, as he has maintained his contract with the agency to develop his upcoming solo projects.
While Heeseung prepares his debut solo album, ENHYPEN will not be adding new members. The group is set to move forward as a six-member act consisting of Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. The agency has requested that fans, known as ENGENE, continue to support both the group’s future activities and Heeseung's new chapter as a soloist.
