Colleen Hoover’s literary empire has officially expanded into Hollywood with the theatrical release of Reminders of Him on February 13, 2026. The film, which held its star-studded premiere in Los Angeles in early February, marks the debut project for Heartbones Entertainment. Hoover co-founded the production company alongside Lauren Levine to ensure her novels maintained their emotional integrity during the transition from page to screen.

The story follows Kenna Rowan, played by Maika Monroe, a woman who returns to her hometown after serving five years in prison. Seeking a chance to reconnect with her four-year-old daughter, she faces a town determined to shut her out. Tyriq Withers stars opposite Monroe as Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few people willing to give Kenna a second chance despite the tragic history they share.

Hoover took a hands-on approach to the production, working closely with Levine to cast the leads and oversee the script. According to reports from TheWrap and Collider, this project is the first in a slate of adaptations planned by Heartbones Entertainment. Fans of the 2022 novel have highly anticipated the film, which arrived in U.S. theaters just days after its red-carpet debut.
