ABC has officially canceled the upcoming 22nd season of The Bachelorette featuring Taylor Frankie Paul. The decision comes just three days before the season was set to premiere on March 22, 2026. Disney Entertainment Television confirmed the move following the release of a controversial video that surfaced online earlier this week.

The video, published by TMZ, reportedly shows a domestic violence incident from 2023 involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. This newly released footage, coupled with ongoing domestic assault allegations, prompted the network to halt the production entirely. A spokesperson for Disney Entertainment Television stated that the company is focusing on supporting the family involved during this time.

Paul first gained national attention as a TikTok influencer and star of the Hulu series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Her casting as the franchise lead had been a point of contention for many viewers due to her public legal history. With the cancellation of Season 22, the future of the spring dating cycle remains uncertain as the network has not yet announced a replacement lead or a new filming schedule.
