Apple TV is now the official and exclusive U.S. home for Formula 1. The landmark five-year broadcasting agreement officially begins this weekend at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. According to The Washington Post, this deal shifts the sport’s American presence away from traditional cable to a digital-first experience hosted entirely on the Apple TV app.

Subscribers gain access to premium technical features including 4K Dolby Vision and a new "multiview" mode. This feature allows fans to customize their screens with up to four different camera feeds simultaneously. 9to5Mac reports that Apple has fully integrated F1 TV Premium into the subscription, providing live onboard cameras and team radio at no additional cost to viewers.

Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali described the partnership as a "transformative moment" for the sport’s growth in the United States, as cited by Formula1.com. The coverage includes every practice session, qualifying round, and Grand Prix through the end of the 2030 season. Fans can tune in to the first broadcast from the Albert Park Circuit starting March 8, 2026.
