Award-winning actor Brian Cox is trading the corporate boardroom for a life of crime. The Succession star has officially joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection for its second season. Cox, who holds Emmy, Olivier, and Golden Globe awards, will appear as a series regular alongside lead Michael C. Hall.
Cox is set to portray Don Framt, a notorious serial killer known as "The New York Ripper." While the character was introduced as a looming, unseen threat during the show’s first season, Framt will now take center stage as he taunts the survivors of his previous crimes. This casting marks a significant addition to the Paramount+ with Showtime lineup as the franchise continues to expand.

Fans won't have to wait long for the cameras to start rolling. Production on the second season is scheduled to begin on April 13, 2026. The series serves as a direct sequel to Dexter: New Blood, further exploring the dark world of the title character while introducing high-stakes adversaries like Cox’s Framt.
