Country music artist J.D. Graham is reportedly in critical condition, described as 'barely alive,' after a devastating multi-vehicle crash on an interstate in New Mexico on February 24, 2026. Graham sustained severe injuries when his vehicle was hit by one semi-truck and then slammed into another. Tragically, his dog, who was traveling with him, did not survive the accident.
First responders had to cut Graham from his vehicle before he was life-flighted to a trauma center in Texas, where he is currently in the ICU. His injuries include a broken back, broken neck, and several broken ribs. His daughters, Destiny and Sydney Graham, shared on a GoFundMe page that he has an unstable fracture in his back and will be unable to walk for some time. Adding to the family's challenges, Graham's wife, Amy, recently completed cancer treatments and is currently unable to work.
The country music community has rallied around the beloved Oklahoma native. The GoFundMe campaign set up by his daughters has already raised over $50,000 to assist with medical and rehabilitation costs. A benefit concert is also being planned for March 15th at The Birds Nest Listening Room in Dunn, North Carolina. This accident comes just weeks before the scheduled March 6th release of Graham's new album, Uppers and Downers.
