Legendary electronic music pioneers Daft Punk have surprised the music world by releasing a new official music video for their track 'Human After All.' Dropping on February 22, 2026, the video arrives exactly five years after the duo, comprised of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, announced their retirement.
The newly unveiled visuals draw heavily from Daft Punk's 2006 avant-garde science fiction film, Electroma. Fans will recognize the signature robotic figures, portrayed by actors Peter Hurteau and Michael Reich, as they journey through the desert. The original 2005 single 'Human After All' never received a dedicated music video, with the footage initially shot for it eventually expanding into the full-length Electroma film. This new edit was overseen by Daft Punk's longtime creative director, Cédric Hervet.
While Daft Punk officially disbanded in February 2021, citing reasons that included concerns over the rise of artificial intelligence, their legacy continues to resonate. This new 'Human After All' video is the latest in a series of curated releases and archival content from the influential duo. Recent activities include a collaboration with the video game Fortnite and a 20th-anniversary remix collection of 'Human After All' on vinyl released late last year. Even in their absence, Daft Punk's unique artistic vision and impact on electronic music remain undeniable.
