Diné R&B musician Ramonda Holiday has officially released her latest album, To the Core. The project serves as a raw, sonic diary of Holiday’s life, blending smooth vocals with heavy themes. As reported by High Country News, the record doesn’t shy away from the artist’s past struggles, including her lived experiences with addiction and sex work.
The album captures Holiday's transformative journey toward sobriety and her spiritual evolution as a trans woman. She uses her music to provide a voice for those often marginalized within the music industry. By sharing her specific path to spiritual delivery, Holiday offers a message of resilience that resonates far beyond the R&B charts.
Outside of the recording studio, Holiday remains deeply committed to her community through her non-profit, Before the Rocks Cry Out. This organization focuses on improving mental, physical, and spiritual health for Indigenous people. Her music and activism work hand-in-hand to foster healing and visibility for Indigenous trans voices.
