Ed Sheeran has shared a heartening update regarding his wife, Cherry Seaborn, confirming she is now "totally fine" after a harrowing battle with cancer. Speaking on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast hosted by Ben Cook, the singer-songwriter opened up about the recovery process following a diagnosis that deeply impacted his family and his recent musical projects.

Seaborn was diagnosed with a tumor in her arm in February 2022 while she was six months pregnant with the couple's second daughter, Jupiter. Because of the pregnancy, medical professionals could not perform surgery or provide immediate treatment until after the birth. Sheeran described the experience as "f***ing scary," as the couple had to wait through the final trimester before addressing the health crisis.

The health scare hit during an exceptionally difficult period for the artist. While supporting Seaborn, Sheeran was also grieving the sudden death of his close friend Jamal Edwards and fighting a copyright lawsuit regarding his hit single "Shape of You" in London’s High Court. Sheeran previously chronicled these struggles in his 2023 Disney+ documentary series, Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All, and his emotionally raw album, - (Subtract).
