Internet fans were recently sent into a frenzy over photos allegedly showing Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. However, multiple reports from Hindustan Times and News18 have confirmed these "first look" images are completely fake. The pictures, which circulated widely on platforms like X and Instagram, are actually sophisticated AI edits and face-swaps rather than genuine leaks from the highly anticipated production.
Actor Ashish Sharma, known for his lead role in the television series Siya Ke Ram, helped clear the air regarding the origin of the visuals. It was discovered that several of the viral images were created by layering Kapoor’s face onto Sharma’s body from his previous work. Sharma’s confirmation, alongside reports from The Times of India, effectively debunked claims that director Nitesh Tiwari’s closed set had been compromised by early photographers.
While these specific images are not authentic, the official casting for the project remains unchanged. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are confirmed to lead the epic, which is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios. Fans will have to wait for a verified official glimpse of the cast in costume, as the film is currently tracking for a major theatrical release in Diwali 2026.
