Genesis Rodriguez has officially joined the cast of Netflix's hit action-thriller, The Night Agent, for its highly anticipated third season, which premiered on February 19, 2026. Rodriguez steps into a lead role as Isabel De Leon, an investigative financial journalist, and becomes a crucial ally to protagonist Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso.

Isabel De Leon's character meets Peter while he is undercover in Istanbul, delving into a conspiracy that quickly becomes deeply personal for her. She is investigating a dark money network and a FinCen analyst, a path that unexpectedly connects her to Jacob Monroe, also known as "The Broker." This new dynamic is a significant shift for the series, following the emotional conclusion of Season 2.

Rodriguez's introduction comes after the departure of previous co-lead Luciane Buchanan, who portrayed Rose Larkin in the first two seasons. Buchanan confirmed ahead of Season 3 that her character would not be returning, citing that the writers felt Rose did not fit into the new storyline. Creator Shawn Ryan has stated that he "always envisioned the show as telling a new story each season with a revolving cast." Despite Rose's physical absence, her presence is acknowledged throughout the season, with Peter still deeply caring for her, and the door remaining open for a potential return in future installments.

The third season, comprising 10 episodes, sees Peter Sutherland on a mission to track down a rogue Treasury Agent, uncovering a wider conspiracy that reaches the White House. With Isabel De Leon by his side, viewers can expect an intense new chapter in the Night Agent universe.
