Jennifer Runyon, a beloved face from 1980s cinema and television, has passed away at the age of 65. Her close friend and Bewitched actress Erin Murphy confirmed the news over the weekend, stating that Runyon died on Friday, March 6, 2026. The actress had been privately battling cancer prior to her passing.

Fans will most likely recognize Runyon from her memorable scene in the 1984 classic Ghostbusters. She played the college student subject of Bill Murray's Dr. Peter Venkman during a notoriously biased ESP test. Beyond the big screen, she became a household name for portraying Gwendolyn Pierce on the sitcom Charles in Charge and taking over the role of Cindy Brady in the 1988 television film A Very Brady Christmas.

Runyon’s career spanned several decades and included roles in the soap opera Another World and the comedy Up the Creek. In a tribute posted to social media, Murphy described her friend as a "beautiful soul" who will be deeply missed by the entertainment community. Runyon is survived by her husband, Todd Corman, and their two children, Wyatt and Bayley.
