Philadelphia singer-songwriter Greg Mendez has officially joined the Dead Oceans roster to announce his upcoming studio album, Beauty Land. The record is scheduled for release on May 29 and follows his critically acclaimed self-titled LP from 2023. While the album was officially announced on March 3 alongside the lead single "I Wanna Feel Pretty," Mendez also released a double single featuring the tracks "Gentle Love" and "Frog" on March 31.

The two new tracks are accompanied by a music video directed by Luke LeCount. According to Stereogum, the project was recorded almost entirely alone in Mendez's makeshift home studio in Philadelphia, though it retains the intimate, lo-fi aesthetic that defined his earlier work. Mendez described the songwriting process as a way to process personal transitions and his growing presence in the indie-folk scene.

In support of Beauty Land, Mendez will embark on a summer headlining tour across North America. The tour is set to begin on June 10 in Washington, D.C. and will include performances at Sid The Cat Auditorium in Los Angeles and Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, with a Philadelphia show at Johnny Brenda’s on July 10. Tickets for the tour dates are currently available for purchase through the artist's official website.
