The Film Critics Guild and WPP Motion Entertainment have officially pulled back the curtain on the nominees for the 8th Critics’ Choice Awards 2026. Announced on March 10, the list highlights a massive year for Indian cinema and streaming. Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound is the current frontrunner in the film category, securing a total of six nominations.
On the small screen, the hit web series Black Warrant emerged as the overall leader across all categories. The show garnered seven nominations, proving its dominance in the digital space. Another notable entry is the Manipuri film Boong, which recently earned international acclaim at the BAFTAs and has now secured two nominations for this year’s ceremony.
Industry fans and creators are looking forward to the main event, which is scheduled to take place on March 24 in Mumbai.
