Actress Jennifer Garner recently offered a deeply honest look into the intricacies of co-parenting with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. Speaking on Bustle's "One Nightstand" YouTube series, Garner revealed the unique dynamic necessitated by their separate households, stating, "I become mom and dad; he becomes dad and mom."

Garner, who shares children Violet (20), Seraphina (17), and Samuel (13) with Affleck, elaborated on the "little bit of loss" she experiences. She explained that without both parents constantly under one roof, each parent must embody aspects of the other, missing "the benefit of both sides of the yin and yang being in the same house." However, she also acknowledged that there's "something gained in that" process, teaching her to let go and learn.

Despite the challenges, the former couple, who separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2018, have successfully cultivated a peaceful co-parenting relationship. Garner previously told Marie Claire UK that she's achieved "peace and equanimity and a partnership that I didn't know I would ever get back to." Their ongoing commitment ensures stability and love remain central to their children's lives.
