Jonathan Majors is officially making his return to the big screen! The actor has begun filming a new, untitled action movie this week in South Carolina. This project marks his first starring role since his highly publicized legal case in December 2023.
Majors' career took a significant turn after he was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment against his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Following the verdict, Marvel Studios parted ways with the actor, removing him from his prominent role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His film Magazine Dreams was also pulled from Disney's release schedule. In April 2024, Majors was sentenced to probation and ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program.
The new action film is being produced by Ben Shapiro for The Daily Wire and Dallas Sonnier for Bonfire Legend. Kyle Rankin is directing the movie from his own screenplay. While the title and full plot are still under wraps, reports suggest the story draws inspiration from '80s and '90s action movies like Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, focusing on groups of teenagers battling invading enemies. Majors is also serving as an executive producer on the project through his company, Tall Street Productions.
