Kali Uchis has canceled her highly anticipated concert in Guadalajara, Mexico, which was scheduled for February 22, 2026. The decision came due to escalating violence in the region, prioritizing the safety of her fans and crew. The performance was part of her ongoing 'The Sincerely Tour' and was set to take place at the Auditorio Telmex in Zapopan, Jalisco.
The cancellation by promoters OCESA followed a significant surge in unrest across Jalisco and other western Mexican states. This turmoil was triggered by the confirmed death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as 'El Mencho,' the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Oseguera was reportedly killed during a military-federal operation in Tapalpa, Jalisco, leading to widespread retaliatory violence, including burning vehicles and road blockades.
Kali Uchis addressed the cancellation on her Instagram Story on February 23, expressing her love for Guadalajara and emphasizing the importance of everyone's safety. While the Guadalajara show was canceled, her Mexico City concert, slated for February 25, was still proceeding as planned according to official tour listings at the time of reporting.
