WME’s music department is entering a new chapter. In an internal memo sent on March 6, 2026, co-chairman Christian Muirhead announced that Lucy Dickins is stepping down from her role as Global Head of Contemporary Music and Touring. Dickins, a industry powerhouse who joined the agency in 2019, made history as the first woman to hold a global leadership position of this scale at a major talent agency.
With Dickins moving on after seven years, Kirk Sommer will now serve as the sole Global Head of the division. Sommer and Dickins previously shared the leadership mantle, overseeing a massive roster that includes global superstars like Adele, Dua Lipa, and The Killers. Dickins was originally promoted to the top spot in 2022 after spending three years building WME’s UK presence and modernizing their global touring strategy.
The shift marks a significant change for Endeavor-owned WME, which remains a dominant force in the live music industry. While the memo did not specify Dickins' next move, Muirhead praised her "immense contributions" to the company’s growth and the impact she had on the agency's culture. During her tenure, she was instrumental in integrating the agency’s international offices and navigating the complex post-pandemic return to global touring.
