Universal Music Group (UMG) has officially elevated Matt Young to the role of CEO at Bravado, the company’s industry-leading merchandise and brand management division. Young, who first joined the organization as President in 2021, will continue to report directly to Boyd Muir, UMG’s Chief Operating Officer. Muir praised the promotion, stating that Young’s vision has been instrumental in evolving Bravado into a multifaceted brand management company that focuses on the unique relationship between artists and their fans.

The leadership transition comes alongside a significant expansion of Bravado’s senior management team. Stacey J. Lee has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, moving up from her previous role as Senior Vice President of Global Head of Business & Legal Affairs. Additionally, Rachel Redfearn has been named President of Bravado UK, expanding her remit to lead the division's operations in one of its most critical international markets. These moves signal UMG's commitment to scaling its merchandise business through specialized global leadership.

To further bolster its creative and commercial reach, Bravado has tapped two high-profile executives from outside the company. Ben Crabb, formerly of Warner Music Group, joins as Senior Vice President of A&R and Brand Management, while Briana Farrell arrives from Fanatics to serve as Senior Vice President of Sales. This new executive lineup is tasked with developing innovative products and immersive experiences for UMG’s massive roster of global talent, ensuring that merchandise remains a primary pillar of the modern music industry.
