Longtime collaborator and producer Dan Nigro recently sent the internet into a frenzy by sharing an Instagram photo of himself and Rodrigo in the studio, captioned, "Finishing records...". Rodrigo herself playfully acknowledged the intense work, commenting on the post, "the palpable stress in this photo hahahha." This strong indication from Nigro, who also produced her chart-topping albums SOUR and GUTS, suggests the album is nearing completion.

Rodrigo officially confirmed she was working on new music in an American Express promo video in October 2025. She has also hinted at a creatively "busy year" in 2026, leading many to speculate about a potential album release within the year.
