Legendary guitarist Peter Frampton officially headed back to the studio for a major milestone. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee announced his album, Carry The Light, which officially hit shelves on May 16, 2025. Released via UMe, the project marks Frampton’s first collection of all-new original rock material in 16 years.
This new era for Frampton is also a family affair. He co-wrote and co-produced the entire album alongside his son, Julian Frampton. The record boasts an impressive roster of guest stars, including Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello, H.E.R., and Graham Nash. Keyboardist Benmont Tench and saxophonist Bill Evans also contributed to the sessions, ensuring a rich, multi-layered sound for the veteran rocker.

Fans can already get a taste of the new material with the lead single, "Buried Treasure." The track serves as a heartfelt tribute to the late Tom Petty, a longtime friend and peer of Frampton. By blending fresh collaborations with personal nostalgia, Carry The Light became one of the most anticipated classic rock releases of the year.
