Starting April 15, Spectrum TV customers have a major new reason to stick with their Amazon Fire TV devices. Charter Communications officially announced that the Spectrum TV App will launch across the Amazon Fire TV ecosystem, including Fire TV Sticks, Fire TV Cubes, and Fire TV Smart TVs. This expansion provides a seamless way for subscribers to watch their favorite content without needing a traditional cable box.
The app isn't just a basic viewing tool; it packs the full Spectrum experience into the Amazon interface. Users can stream their entire live channel lineup and browse thousands of On Demand titles at no additional cost. The release also includes high-end features like Cloud DVR and the ability to pause live television. Sports fans are in for a treat with the Multiview feature, which allows viewers to watch up to four sports channels simultaneously on one screen.
This move comes after years of customer requests for Fire TV compatibility. According to a Spectrum press release, the app is designed to integrate directly with the Fire TV experience, making it easier for users to toggle between their favorite streaming services and live cable broadcasts. All you need are your Spectrum TV login credentials to get started when the app goes live mid-month.
