Spotify is pulling out all the stops for its 20th anniversary, launching a series of high-profile artist showcases and industry events at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, this March 2026. The platform, founded in 2006, is celebrating two decades of connecting artists and fans with a lineup that blends iconic names with rising stars.

A major highlight is the Spotify 20: Live at Stubb's concert, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026. This official SXSW event will feature a powerhouse bill: seven-time Grammy-winner Alanis Morissette, country music sensation Ella Langley, and a rare DJ set by six-time Grammy-winner St. Vincent (Annie Clark). Fans attending with platinum or music badge holders will have access to this special celebration.

Beyond the main stage, Spotify is hosting a variety of engaging events. On Friday, March 13, Spotify co-CEO Gustav Söderström, country superstar Lainey Wilson, and podcast host David Friedberg will lead a conversation about building for the long run. Additionally, Spotify Chief Public Affairs Officer Dustee Jenkins will sit down with Nick Jonas for a discussion on staying power in music and culture. Attendees can also look forward to a Spotify for Artists Masterclass, designed to equip musicians with practical tools, and a Heart & Soul wellness space, in partnership with Backline, offering mental well-being support for artists and managers during the busy festival week.

The anniversary festivities also extend to the platform itself with a curated Spotify x SXSW playlist, allowing listeners to revisit tracks from artists who have graced the Spotify House stage over the years. This extensive program at SXSW underscores Spotify's enduring commitment to music discovery and shared listening as it looks back on 20 years of innovation.
