Simon Williams is sticking around for another round. Marvel Studios has officially greenlit a second season of Wonder Man for Disney+. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will lead the series once again as the titular hero, Simon Williams. He is joined by Ben Kingsley, who returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the fan-favorite actor Trevor Slattery.

Behind the scenes, the creative engine remains intact. Co-creators Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest are confirmed to return for the sophomore outing. Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, continues his partnership with Disney through this Hollywood-centric superhero tale. This renewal places the series in an elite club, as most live-action MCU shows on Disney+ have remained limited, single-season projects.

The news signals a shift in strategy as Disney+ moves toward multi-season storytelling for its Marvel television slate. While a specific production start date for Season 2 hasn't been finalized, the return of the lead cast and showrunners confirms the studio’s long-term commitment to the character. Wonder Man is expected to offer a satirical look at the film industry within the context of the broader MCU.
