Zazie Beetz is trading superhero suits for a housekeeperâs uniform in the new horror-comedy They Will Kill You. The film is set to premiere at the SXSW 2026 Film & TV Festival, drawing crowds eager for a mix of laughs and gore. Directed by Kirill Sokolov, the movie features Beetz as a woman who takes a job in a mysterious New York City high-rise, only to find the "amenities" include ritualistic human sacrifice.
The project marks a significant collaboration between New Line Cinema and Skydance. It is the first feature from Nocturna Pictures, the genre-focused label founded by It filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti. Sokolov, who gained international attention for Why Donât You Just Die!, co-wrote the script with Alex Litvak. The filmâs high-octane energy heading into SXSW has set the stage for its upcoming wide release.

Horror fans won't have to wait long to see the carnage for themselves. New Line Cinema has scheduled the North American theatrical expansion for March 27, 2026. With its blend of social satire and demonic chaos, They Will Kill You aims to be the breakout genre hit of the spring season.
