Reports indicate that Brown was attempting to jump-start a vehicle inside a barn on Roosevelt Boulevard when the fire erupted. Firefighters responded shortly after 10 p.m. to find the large structure engulfed in flames. Brown was located within the barn and pronounced deceased at the scene. The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later determined his cause of death as diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation, ruling it accidental.
