Universal Pictures and Illumination have unveiled the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, set to blast into theaters on April 1, 2026. The new footage confirms that Donald Glover will voice the fan-favorite dinosaur Yoshi, marking his debut in the animated franchise. The film serves as a direct sequel to the 2023 blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which earned over $1.3 billion at the global box office.

In addition to Glover, the trailer revealed that Issa Rae will voice Honey Queen and Luis Guzmán will play the villainous Wart. These newcomers join a star-studded ensemble that includes Brie Larson as Princess Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. Returning stars Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, and Jack Black reprise their roles as Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, and Bowser, respectively.

Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, the sequel follows the Mushroom Kingdom heroes as they venture into the cosmos to stop Bowser Jr. from freeing his father. According to producer Shigeru Miyamoto, the film is a centerpiece of Mario's 40th-anniversary celebration. Composer Brian Tyler also returns to provide a score that blends classic game themes for the 98-minute space adventure.
